Tish Towns
Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, Regional One Health
Tish Towns has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership and is currently Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for Regional One Health. She is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and a previous member of that organization’s Management Series Editorial Board, a past Delegate for the American Hospital Association (AHA) Regional Policy Board, and a member of Memphis Rotary. Prior to beginning her career in healthcare, she served in state government with the Tennessee Departments of Human Services and Health. She began her career in healthcare management in the early 1990s and has served in senior executive roles in community not-for-profit, rural and urban academic delivery settings in Illinois, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee. She joined Regional One Health in June of 2009. Tish has a strong background in healthcare management and leadership.
Tish serves as one of the senior leaders in the development and execution of Regional One Health’s strategic plan. She has direct responsibility for ambulatory services, which includes primary care practices and multi-specialty locations; academic oncology program; post-acute care services including rehabilitation, skilled nursing, and long-term acute care; marketing and communications; market development; community engagement; pastoral care; volunteers and guest services. She also oversees the organization’s state government affairs function for the States of Arkansas, Mississippi and Tennessee and represents the organization before federal officials and with numerous state and federal trade associations.
Tish received her Bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University and her Master’s from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Certified in healthcare management, she is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), former Delegate on the American Hospital Association (AHA) Regional Policy Board 4, AHA Metropolitan Section Governing Council Nominating Committee, and past member of ACHE’s National Examination Committee and Management Series Editorial Board. She is a past FELLOW and Government Relations Academy mentor of America’s Essential Hospitals and Massachusetts General Hospital Disparities Leadership Program.
She currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors and the Chairman of the Council on Inclusion and Health Equity with the Tennessee Hospital Association. She also serves on the boards of the United Way of the Mid-South and the Midsouth Minority Business Consortium. She is a past recipient of the Tennessee Hospital Association’s (THA) Senior Executive Meritorious Service and Diversity Champion Awards and AHA’s Grassroots Champion Award.
