Breast Cancer Screenings
The best protection against breast cancer is early detection. At the West Cancer Foundation, we are dedicated to ensuring that all women get their annual mammogram.
Our Breast Screenings program offers screenings and education paid for through grant funds to close the disparity gap in cancer care.
If you have not had your mammogram this year, or you know someone who needs a mammogram, please call 901-322-2984 to see if you qualify for a screening paid for through grant funds.
Transportation
Lack of transportation is one of the greatest barriers for some cancer patients to access the treatments and follow-up care they need. West Cancer Foundation provides free rides to and from screenings, treatment and other oncology care for cancer patients who lack reliable transportation.
Post-Mastectomy Assistance
West Cancer Foundation’s Form Fitting program helps those in need maintain a positive self-image by assisting in the purchase of breast prostheses and mastectomy bras, regardless of their ability to pay.
Dealing with cancer can be devastating in many ways, and certainly, the financial impact can be overwhelming. The Form Fitting program assists you or your loved one in financial need with co-pays and deductibles for these essential products. If there is no insurance coverage, the program will cover the entire purchase amount.
Sweet Wig Beauty Boutique
Losing your hair as a result of chemotherapy can be a demoralizing side effect of cancer treatment. A wig or head covering can help maintain a positive self-image during your cancer journey.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, West Cancer Foundation provides wigs to cancer patients in our community paid for through grant funds.
Lymphedema Assistance
Through West Cancer Foundation’s Lymphedema Garments program we work to provide patients in need with access to compression sleeves and/or gloves to ease pain after breast treatments.
