Leighanne Soden

President

As President of West Cancer Foundation, Leighanne leads all aspects of the Foundation’s fundraising and development, operations, marketing and community engagement. Previously, she was with the American Cancer Society, where she successfully directed a $9 million capital campaign to build the Harrahs’ Hope Lodge in Memphis. During her time at the ACS, she met Dr. Lee Schwartzberg and saw first-hand the incredible work being done for adult cancer patients in Memphis. The rest is somewhat historical and the result is the West Cancer Foundation.

Losing her father to cancer in 2018 made the fight against and the drive to raise funds for cancer research and support a personal mission for Leighanne.

She earned her BA in Communications at The University of Alabama-Huntsville and MA in Communications from The University of Arkansas. She is a former President of Rotary Club of Memphis East, a Paul Harris Fellow and received an award from the American Cancer Society for the largest single gift for the Memphis area.

She is married to Jack Soden and resides in Germantown.
